RESPONSIBILITIES: This person will be part of the Client Services team. Responsibilities include conducting initial client intakes (determining eligibility, interviewing potential client to collect facts in the case, writing a summary of the interview, and entering information into a case management database); answering the main switchboard and directing callers to staff and making referrals; processing office files by updating information in a database; creating and sending form letters; greeting and assisting visitors to the office; interpreting (assuming multi language fluency); and performing other tasks as needed, such as library filing.
The Youth Program Manager is responsible for the overall administration of a school-based Out-of-School Time program serving approximately 30-50 youth in 6th-12th grade each day (around 100 each week) at Venture Academy. Directly supervises a staff, volunteers and interns. Works closely with the school administration and other community-based support programs outside of the school. The Program Manager coordinates and oversees program operations to ensure individual academic and emotional growth and support developmental assets of youth through research-based programming, using a holistic approach that is trauma-informed and strengths-based. Provides support to students and staff by actively participating in family engagement events and helping to mobilize applicable resources to students in need.
This full-time Youth Counselor position involves direct service with participants in the Contact Plus Program with Girls Incorporated® at the YWCA of Minneapolis that inspire youth to make positive decisions for themselves and their future. This position provides group, individual, and educational support to low income urban youth ages 10-18 years old. The Youth Counselor will recruit program participants, develop and modify program curriculum, and complete monthly reports. The Contact Plus Youth Counselor will collaborate with the Minneapolis Public Schools and other youth serving agencies utilizing the Girls Incorporated® program curriculum and Contact Plus curriculum/resources to meet program goals and outcomes.
