The Zero Waste Challenge is an eight-month-long free program that works with households to take an in-depth look at the waste we create in the home, in an effort to uncover opportunities to recycle more and waste less. Households will receive hands-on coaching from a Hennepin County staff member, develop a personalized waste reduction plan fit to their home, have the opportunity to attend educational workshops, and more.

The Upper Harbor Community Engagement Learning Table is a space to advance development that strengthens the social fabric of the existing North Minneapolis community, bring greater wealth and local ownership into the community, and foster stronger relationships between North Minneapolis and the Mississippi River.
We have another opportunity to learn about rainwater management in the NRRC Zone! With help from a grant from MWMO, Dave Stark with Rain Water Management will demonstrate the installation of an 800-gallon cistern and introduce us to some new concepts in rainwater capture. Please let us know if you can make it by emailing me back here. The event is next Thursday, July 11 from 6-8 PM at our future NRRC Headquarters (still under construction) at 1303 Golden Valley Road. This information will be important for Board Members as we maintain the environmental initiatives at the NRRC Headquarters to help educate our community about water conservation and environmental initiatives. We will provide pizza and refreshments. You are welcome to invite neighbors as well. I hope to hear from you soon!!
Come on through to Farwell Park for lunch snacks, music making, and fun Monday through Friday, 10am to 3pm, June 17th to July 26th, 2019!
