Join Northside Economic Opportunity Network (NEON) as we celebrate the Grand Opening of NEON Collective Kitchens—a new shared commercial kitchen space designed to help food entrepreneurs Start, Grow + Thrive.

Built with community at the center, NEON Collective Kitchens was created to remove barriers to entry for emerging food businesses by providing access to the infrastructure entrepreneurs need most—commercial-grade equipment, prep space, storage, and flexible workstations in a professional, supportive environment.

More than a kitchen, this a place where ideas can grow into viable businesses; where ownership becomes more accessible; and where local entrepreneurs can build lasting economic opportunity for themselves and their communities.

Residents are invited to a public hearing on May 18 at 4:30pm in Room 350 of the Public Service Center (250 S 4th St) to share their thoughts on a proposed new 5 story building with 48 apartments for seniors developed by James Archer and Matrix Development at 529 and 535 Logan Ave N. 

This community gathering is extra special because we will be celebrating DeAnna Smith - who is stepping down from her role as Loppet's Adventures Director. DeAnna is leaving behind an INCREDIBLE legacy and we want to uplift all the meaningful work she's put into building community at Theo Wirth Park. Let's send her off with a celebration! 

Attorney General Keith Ellison is convening community members and stakeholders for a forum on Wednesday, May 13, from 6-7:30 pm in Minneapolis, on the future of Hennepin County Medical Center.  He wants to hear from HCMC staff, civic leaders, community members, and patients about their ideas for making HCMC stronger.

Each year, WBC brings together local business owners, community organizations, and residents to work collectively to clean and beautify the West Broadway Avenue corridor. It is one of seven designated cultural districts in Minneapolis. 

This year’s Spring Clean Up is made possible through our partnership with the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO).

The event will take place on Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Volunteers will meet in the U.S. Bank parking lot located at 1030 W. Broadway, Minneapolis, MN 55411. 

All cleanup materials including trash bags, gloves, grabbers, and safety vests will be provided. Food and beverages will also be available for participants.
