Homeownership is a big goal. Achieving it takes time, support and faith in yourself. The path and time it takes is different for everyone, but with patience and persistence you can lay a foundation of building assets and success for you and your family!

How Do I Start?

Complete our intake form to sign up for Homeownership Counseling with NRRC, and we’ll contact you to schedule an appointment. We will help you assess your current ability to purchase a home based on income, credit history and savings/down payment assistance. If there are financial issues you need to work on, we will help you do so.


Forgivable Down Payment Assistance

Advancing Black Homeownership is a program for Black or African American Minnesotans who are descendants of enslaved Africans in the United States may qualify for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s Advancing Black Homeownership Program. This is a unique loan product and affordable homebuying program with culturally relevant homebuyer education, forgivable down payment assistance, competitive interest rates and flexible underwriting criteria aimed at supporting sustainable homeownership.
